Prof. Yuehaw Khoo is among five UChicago scholars awarded a prestigious Sloan Fellowship in 2024.

Prof. Rebecca Willett has been awarded the inaugural SIAM Activity Group on Data Science Career Prize (SIAG/DATA Career Prize). 

The prize will be awarded at the 2024 SIAM Conference on Mathematics of Data Science (MDS24) to be held in Atlanta, Georgia, United States from October 21 – 25, 2024.

Congratulations to Cong Ma and co-authors Kaizheng Wang, Yuejie Chi, and Yuxin Chen on receiving the 2024 SIAG/Imaging Science Best Paper Prize for their work "Implicit Regularization in Nonconvex Statistical Estimation: Gradient Descent Converges Linearly for Phase Retrieval, Matrix Completion, and Blind Deconvolution" published on Foundations of Computational Mathematics.
