Chao Gao, assistant professor, Department of Statistics, is a recipient of the Noether Early Career Scholar Award for 2023.
Prof. Gao has made remarkable contributions to the field of non-parametric statistics, particularly in the areas of high-dimensional statistical inference, robust statistics, network analysis, and Bayesian nonparametric theory. His pioneering work has significantly advanced our understanding and application of these concepts in modern statistical research.
