Research
I'm broadly interested in the mathematics of data science, with a focus on the interplay between statistics and optimization. The main theme is to develop computationally and statistically efficient estimation and inference methods for large-scale data science problems. Recently I'm excited about problems arising from transfer learning, reinforcement learning, high-dimensional statistics, signal processing, etc.
