Yi Liu Awarded SBSS Student Paper Award

PhD candidate, Yi Liu, has been awarded the prestigious SBSS Student Paper Award for his paper, “Variable Selection via Thompson Sampling” (coauthored together with his advisor, Veronika Rockova).  

This prize is awarded annually by the Bayesian Section of the American Statistical Association (ASA) to a very small group of promising students. 

Yi will be presenting this work at JSM 2021. The first draft can be found at:  https://arxiv.org/abs/2007.00187. The paper is currently under revision for JASA Theory and Methods.
