The Department of Statistics mourns the passing of Leo Goodman

The Department of Statistics mourns the passing of Leo Goodman, whose most important work, on categorical data analysis and its application in sociology, some jointly with his colleague William Kruskal, was done during his 36 years in the Department of Statistics (1950-1987) at the University of Chicago.
