Cristina Martin-Linares obtained her Ph.D. at Johns Hopkins University in the lab of Dr. Yannis Kevrekidis, where she worked on problems related to closure modeling in fluid mechanics using machine learning. Her research involves surrogate modeling and uncertainty quantification in high-dimensional chaotic systems such as climate prediction and epidemiology. She is also interested in using machine learning to uncover hidden symmetries in physical and biological systems.
