Prof. Chao Gao awarded a Sloan Fellowship for 2022

The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation has announced Chao Gao, assistant professor, Department of Statistics, as one of five University of Chicago early career researchers who have been selected to receive a 2022 Sloan Research Fellowship.

Chao’s research areas are spread across nonparametric and high-dimensional statistics, network analysis, Bayes theory and robust statistics.
