Research
Ryan McShane earned his Ph.D. in Statistical Science from Southern Methodist University in 2019. His research focuses on a blend of theoretical and applied statistics, which has included modeling intransitivity in paired comparisons and using GPS data to validate angling survey data, and is broadly interested in sports analytics, statistics and data science education, nonparametric methods, enumerative combinatorics, and interdisciplinary research. He has also worked in industry as a credit card credit risk analyst at USAA.
Teaching
He has previously taught at Amherst College, Southern Methodist University, The University of Texas at San Antonio, Health Careers High School, and TexPREP.
