Title: Survey Sampling and Design of Experiments

Instructor: Xinran Li

Class Schedule: Sec 1: WF 10:30 AM–11:50 AM in TBA

Description: This course introduces theory and methods for survey sampling and experimental design. The first part of the course covers sampling designs, including simple random sampling, stratified sampling, and cluster sampling, and discusses inference strategies using Horvitz–Thompson estimation, ratio estimation, and regression estimation. The second part of the course focuses on experimental designs, including completely randomized experiments, stratified randomized experiments, clustered experiments, and factorial experiments, along with inference strategies such as randomization-based tests and covariate adjustment. The course will also introduce advanced topics such as survey nonresponse, experiments with noncompliance and rerandomization.
