My major research interests are in the areas of statistical genetics and mathematical statistics. The problems I am studying are mainly motivated by applications to genetics and genomics studies on common/complex diseases, with a focus on asthma. Statistical genetics problems of interest include likelihood methods for disease mapping, analysis of omics data, networks and systems biology. I am also interested in functional genomics and microbiome. Mathematical statistics topics I am working on include Bayesian and frequentist methods for quantifying information.
