  1. If you could analyze any dataset in the world, what would it be and why?

    • Coming to UChicago, I want to explore and work with real data more, especially data in the genetic domain. I would like to analyze big and complex datasets such as the UK Biobank and All of Us.

  2. What do you like to do outside of work?

    • My hobby now is playing with my two-year-old son, cooking, and playing guitar.

  3. What is your favorite candy/snack?

    • I don't often have candy/snacks, but I love tea and coffee. Hope to meet you all at the coffee station in the department kitchen soon.

  1. If you could analyze any dataset in the world, what would it be and why?

    • At the moment, I hope to obtain more data from my code which exhibits mysterious behaviour.

  2. What do you like to do outside of work?

    • I enjoy hiking, although I don’t do it very often. I also developed an interest in Formula 1 since I watched the Singapore GP in 2022.

  3. What is your favorite candy/snack?

    • Haribo, which is on my desk as I write this.

  1. If you could analyze any dataset in the world, what would it be and why?

    • I wish I could analyze brain neurons' interactions data in real time. Despite being based on relatively simplistic approximations, neural networks and language models are already producing remarkable results across various fields. I believe we can learn more about the true concept of intelligence if such datasets are available.

  2. What do you like to do outside of work?

    • Ride my bikes (primarily) and enjoy foods from all over the world (to fuel the primary).

  3. What is your favorite candy/snack?

    • A cup of matcha latte and a croissant.

  1. What's your favorite "statistic" or data tidbit?
    • One of my favorite types of datasets is omics data, which refers to large-scale datasets (DNA, RNA, proteins, metabolites, etc…) that provide a comprehensive view of a biological sample. However, the high dimensionality of these types of data makes it particularly challenging for data analysis and integration.
  2. What do you like to do outside of work?
    • I love watching movies and TV shows with some popcorn, reading, and especially going for runs.
  3. What is your favorite candy/snack?
    • I love all kinds of sour candies!
